You made it through a wedding show. Put your feet up and relax…but not for too long. There is a lot of work to be done. You are like a kid that went out trick or treating on Halloween. You
have your bag from the wedding show and now you must go through it and separate the good candy from the apples and snack-size bags of pretzels.
- 1st Impressions and Follow ups It’s also time to think about your impressions of the vendors. Which companies stood out from the rest? Were they professional? Did they seem friendly and willing to really help you with your Big Day? Also, have they texted or emailed you to follow up yet? If they have, that may mean that they are excited and ready to talk contract for your Wedding Day.
- Reviews Are Your Friends You can do your vetting of these companies online as there should be plenty of reviews from sites like TheKnot, Weddingwire, Facebook, Google and Yelp.
- Private Consultations Your next step is to set up a phone call, Zoom or face-to-face meeting with the companies that you think are right for your wedding. As you know by now, the wedding shows can be intense. At this point you need to have some one-on-one time with no distractions from other brides-to-be or those scary Bridzillas!
- Don’t Let The Deal Expire Don’t forget- many companies will offer specials that will only last for so long. So, if you are fully comfortable with the deal, jump on it!
It’s your day. It’s your time. Do what you think is best to make it memorable.
