Whether you are planning for your big day (party) or BIG day (wedding), you need to have a plan. Not a party planner. A plan for you to be prepared!
These shows can be overwhelming. So much to see. So many choices. To put it into numbers, you can potentially see 50 – 100 vendors in one place. It’s okay. Breath. Take your time. Afterall, you should be enjoying this experience, so no stressing. How? Follow A Touch of Class DJ’s plan of action:
1. Be Prepared: you can’t just walk into a wedding or party planning show without being ready for what is ahead of you in these function rooms. Make up labels ahead of time with your contact info, like your name, cell number and email address. It may be a good idea to set up a special email address just for wedding vendors.
2. Friends Are Good: don’t go to these shows alone. If you’re planning a wedding, bring a bridesmaid. Bring a mom. Bring a family member. A smart move in life is to surround yourself with smart and experienced people. Apply that here. Having someone with you that has already planned a wedding or Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a smart move to make.
3. Keep An Open Mind: maybe you have several things in mind that you have been thinking about long before stepping into one of these expos. That’s great! You are going in with a plan. However, you will see and hear about options that you may never have considered. This is also great! Now you can get even more creative and expand your plans.
4. Let’s Make A Deal: most vendors for weddings and parties will offer something for free or a bonus of some kind for attending the show. Those offers can be deals to make you go with them over the other vendors. While you still need to focus on doing your due diligence, you should also be ready to take advantage of these deals.
A Touch of Class DJ’s has you ready to head to future shows with confidence because you will be prepared, have experienced friends by your side, you’ll keep an open mind and be ready to make a deal. There, now you can breath again.
